Whitby is a captivating place, renowned for its blue flag beaches, fish & chips, quaint streets, shops and links with literature. Bram Stoker’s famous novel, Dracula, features the town and inspired the world famous Goth festival.

You will be spoilt for choice with the number of attractions in Whitby such as the Gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey, the Captain Cook museum, Pannett Park, Whitby Pavilion, the Esk Valley and North York Moors Railways. Further afield you can explore quaint villages along the Heritage coast or venture inland and capture the breathtaking moorland vistas and picturesque villages on the banks of the River Esk.

Bus: Regular service to York, Thirsk and Pickering.
Rail: There are a wide variety of rail links to the town. The North Yorkshire Moors and Esk Valley railways offer links to picturesque locations, terminating in Pickering or Middlesborough. There
is also a Northern Rail service to Middlesbrough.
